In order to use Ebay a user needs a Paypal account which is also easy to set up and there are step-by-step guides to help them through.

Millions of items are sold through Ebay each day and the customer base is global, so Ebay have set up a meticulous search system to help visitors find relevant items. They can either enter keywords into the search bar and use the 'advanced search' feature, or choose from categories listed on the right hand side of the page such as clothes, computing, DVDs, home & garden, music, sporting goods, toys & games and even stamps, amongst many others. Transactions are processed in a unique way on Ebay, with an item either being open for bidding for an allotted time or there is the 'buy now' option, where the item is sold at a fixed price.
